About Amthor International

Amthor International is the nation’s largest and most diverse manufacturer of truck mounted tanks, which include uses for the vacuum and septic, portable restroom, propane, water, refined fuel, well drilling and construction industries. After opening their doors in 1992 with less than three orders they have now become a leader in their industry not only for sales but for quality, delivery, and product innovations. The Amthor family works very hard every day to make sure that the products that are produced meet and exceed the demands of today’s consumer. As a family owned and operated company the Amthor family takes 100% pride in each and every one of their products that leave their door because those products bear their last name.

Located in an 80,000 square foot facility in Gretna, Amthor International employs over eighty people that are spread across two separate shifts and those numbers continue to grow. With a worldwide distribution and sales network you could go anywhere on the globe and see an Amthor tank.

The Amthor family originally got their start in a small blacksmiths shop back in 1928 and has eventually evolved to what it is today. The company is now in its fourth generation of family ownership and they are now stronger than ever. Beyond owning their own manufacturing facility the Amthor family also owns their own trucking company (W. M. Amthor) to deliver their products and they also have their own finance division (Horizon Capital) to finance their units for their customers.

After four generations of ownership our mission is still focused on meeting and exceeding the needs of each and every client that walks through our front door. Within the various industries that we manufacture and sell products to, customer satisfaction is our number one focus.

Our products range from refined fuel and propane delivery units to waterbeds, service bodies, vacuum trucks, fire tankers, waste oil trucks, and water trucks. There is no end to the numerous products we can create. We are dedicated to expanding our market size and our focus is to serve a larger base of clientele to help our company grow in various areas. Each and every day we are constantly looking for new technology to keep up with the changing, surrounding environment. We believe that if we create quality products and maintain a positive reputation within the industry we serve there is no competition.

At Amthor we are committed to work around the clock and do whatever it takes to have a completely satisfied customer. As a good corporate citizen, we work hard with the communities that we serve to help them gain economic strength and to ensure the protection of the environment.
